An Empowering Spring In Black & White

Last week, I wrapped up the end of February with a list of over 50 black owned businesses! This week, I’m springing ahead to give you empowerment and comfort in an encapsulating black and white Spring outfit from one of the businesses on that list, Branded by CB. I cleaned out my closet as soon as the temperatures rose above 50 degrees in Virginia and my wardrobe is in need of some TLC. Branded by CB literally has everything I have in mind for a Spring wardrobe: floral prints, feminine stripes, structured pants, and flowy tops. It all gave me major Spring fever. The only prescription I could find involves going far and wide. It looks like I may have actually overdosed on wide legged pants and even wider sleeves. They fill me with ALL of the vibes. It’s not just because they make me feel tall and slim, but they also look absolutely chic with almost everything. Imagine walking anywhere with these bad boys on, drawing attention to your legs and watching the fabric dance around your shoes everywhere you go. Oh yes, ma’am! They’re definitely going to give your skinny and straight legged bottoms some fierce competition.

The top was a bonus. Actually, it’s a bodysuit! I hardly ever even wear bodysuits, but I am definitely feeling this one! Normally, I shy away from bodysuits because they have a rep for being so uncomfortable and unflattering for someone with a little more to love. I was also intimidated by the fact that it wasn’t just a bodysuit, but an off the shoulder bodysuit. Not only was this comfortable, but this top has a vice grip on my shoulders! It almost feels like really attractive shape-wear. It looks so clean tucked discretely into the bottoms, I’m wearing that you can’t even tell that I ate before taking these photos! Ah, nothing feels better than a dramatic detail accenting your outfit. What I like most about this outfit is I could switch up my accessories, add a pop of color here and there and rock it for just about any occasion. It could be the fact that I was wearing 3 and a half in wedge heels, but I felt so confident in this outfit!
