St. Patrick’s Day is widely recognized every year – and it’s right around the corner. (March 17 – so you might want to set a reminder) Everywhere you go, you’ll probably see one consistent thing: the color green. Not only is it a tradition, but it’s also a fashion trend.

One thing I love about St. Patrick’s Day is the challenge to wear a color I don’t wear often. By the amount of green displayed, I think it’s safe to assume that it’s not a common color either. So this year, I wanted to share everyday accessories you could go green with to help you avoid investing in temporary accessories while making a unique color work to your best advantage!

Tie It Up

One of the most unique ways to accessorize is by wearing a scarf. Ideally, it’s both versatile and chic. My green accessory of choice is this printed, palm leaf scarf. The wild, wild west inspired the way I chose to wear it. There’s something chic about the mischievous way scarves hung around a persons neck in the old, western movies. Other unique examples of how scarves can be worn creatively include tying it around a purse, belt loop or even your own hair.

Grab A Bag

Do you call your favorite bag a purse or a handbag? Well regardless, it it one of the most reliable accessories is a good purse (or handbag). There is no doubt that these accessories hold some of our most prized possessions. They make life a little more convenient, whether it is a cross-body, hobo, tote, satchel, clutch, or wristlet. The bag in this post isn’t green, but don’t worry, I’ve linked some green ones in the shoppable carousel below! I’m one of those people who likes to have an entire supermarket in her purse no matter the size. Mini versions of certain things are made for a reason, right?

Throw Some Shade

Sunglasses are by far the shadiest accessory. Often celebrities are pictured wearing shades to prevent fans from recognizing them. Typically, they rest on the top of our heads when they aren’t being used, but I like to hang mine through my belt loop. The unlikely resting spot reduces the possibility of surprising myself when they fall back onto my face. It also keeps them from tussling with my hair. I found these adorable cateye sunglasses from one of my favorite local shops.

These three everyday accessories are important staples with any outfit and will grant you that cloak of invisibility from getting pinched. Hopefully, this inspires you to get creative with your wardrobe and go green for St. Patrick’s Day!
