Outfit Inspiration: Over-sized Sweater + OTK Boots
I think I’ve finally found the recipe for comfort and fashion!
Dressing comfortably and fashionably is one of the most difficult tasks. I find myself asking questions like: Should I wear layers? Can I get by with just a sweater dress and still be warm? Or maybe I can look warm and cozy in a onesie? It could work, right? I’m definitely kidding. Let’s be honest, tackling and outfit combination that is both comfortable and fashionable is tough to accomplish when the temperature drops.
Where I’m from, I’ve experienced all four seasons within one week. That’s Virginia for ya! So, it’s safe to say that we’re participating in that really confusing transition between seasons again. When it comes to transitioning, I’d normally stick to layering and knit picking, but the outfit combination in this post is my cure for unpredictable weather in-between winter and spring.

Since winter is almost over, that means winter clearance sales are on the rise and prices are on the decline. I’m not going to tell you to get the greatest deal you can find, but I’m also not going to tell you to not look for the greatest deal either.
Get The Look
This sweater was the first article clothing I grabbed last Black Friday. It was an extremely hot commodity at all of the major retailers. The price was reduced by half of the original retail and it was also a new arrival at the time. Not to mention, the selection ranged with a wide assortment of colors too! It was one of those moments when the need to have something because it was an extremely good deal surpassed any logic.
When it boils down to the sizing of this particular oversized sweater, keep in mind that it’s extremely over-sized. I’m wearing a small, but could easily fit into an extra small. That being said, it’s pretty roomy and well ventilated. The material is a little heavier than most sweaters, and tightly knitted together. The best part about this sweater – you can probably get away with wearing it without a coat! Needless to say, this sweater might just be my smartest purchase of the winter season. More Sweaters
These over the knee boots are proof that it goes down in the DM’s. I found these boots during one of DSW’s store boot sales and decided to post the mirror picture of me sporting these stunning over the knee boots to my Instagram stories. I kid you not, DSW was in my Instagram DM’s telling me how cute these boots looked at the store. I wanted them in a different pattern but they convinced me that the cheetah print were just as sassy.
They were suprisingly comfortable to walk in. I wouldn’t suggest toughing out a Black Friday line while wearing them though.

Although it ranks below being warm and fashionable in 30 degree weather, dressing comfortably and fashionably is ideal too!
