Spring, Sprang, Sprung On These Styles

Are you ready to tackle some Spring trends? Or maybe I should ask if you’re ready to see some stable Spring weather. Regardless, it’s time to break out all of those pastel shades, floral watercolor prints, and dainty details that make you feel like light and cheery. My favorite thing about Spring is the excessive amount of light pink floating around. Ironically, I grew up with an extreme dislike for the color pink and anything relatively close to it. I even claimed it’s rival, purple, to be my favorite color.  Except now, no matter how pretty purple and the light variations of the color purple may be, blush pink still ends up in my shopping cart.  Weird, right? It’s safe to say, I guess have finally started accepting pink for what it is. If only, I could accept mother nature the same way this Spring season. I think we would all prefer less pollen, less cold weather days and beautiful blooms that didn’t attract bees, but I guess we have to let nature do it’s thang.

If you’re not already wearing all of the different pastel and muted colors, then I wouldn’t wait. I’ve seen styles make their way in and out of the stores as everyone rushes to grab new Spring pieces.  I’ve already started gathering some new trendy styles along with some of the chic vintage looks too. In this post I am giving you 6 Spring trends that will keep your wardrobe light and refreshed. Oh, and don’t worry about being able to find them. Each style shoppable in this post. Just toggle through the slides, click the picture of the style you like the most and shop away! Trust me, after you see some of these trends, you’ll want to make it an “add to cart” kind of day.

Maxi Dresses

Yes! It’s time to bring the maxi dresses back out! I’ve been waiting to bring out these babies since last Fall. There’s not really much I can say about maxi dresses that we don’t already know. I can just throw on a maxi dress with a chic pair of sandals, walk out the door, and slay all day long. They’re functional, inexpensive, perfect for any occasion, and effortless. Just remember, a classic, solid maxi dress will always be on trend.

Jumpsuits

What’s just as easy as putting on a dress, but double the fit and flare? A jumpsuit! Don’t get me wrong, I love the way that maxi dresses make me feel. A jumpsuit, on the other hand, says sophistication, no matter what. I can’t get enough of them. It is the luxury of wearing a dress and a pant suit wrapped into one chic ensemble. There is one thing though. Going to the bathroom is not going to be the easiest in a jumpsuit. Getting halfway undressed is no really to ideal when you truly need to use the restroom. Trust me, been there, done that. Whether you’re rocking a wide legged jumpsuit or fitted jumpsuit, the effect of wearing an item that mirrors your silhouette is mesmerizing either way.

Fray Hem Denim

Unfinished hems are adding finishing touches to wardrobes this spring. I think I can speak for everyone when I say we like them rough around the edges.. It give us something to work with! I’m talking about jeans of course. An unfinished hem is edgy, eclectic and exotic. However, it is very easy to misconstrue an entire outfit by adding these pants. This style is typically edgier than the average pair of jeans, which means this might require a few feminine pieces to add structure to your look. Or maybe you like to spice things up! One thing is for sure, this style brings a lot of attention to your feet. So you might want to make sure your shoes are on point too!

Wide Legged Pants

There are a lot of pant styles trending right now, but nothing is more comfortable to me than a pair of wide legged pants. It’s like my legs can finally breathe after being couped up under layers of leggings and jeans for 6 months. Sometimes it feels a little weird because some wide legged pants are so wide that they feel like you’re not even wearing pants. They have this ultimate level of comfort in them that almost makes you feel like your wearing PJ’s. It’s perfect for any occasion, and pairs well with every type of shoe.  Sandals, mules, sneakers, flip flops, platforms, wedges, flats, you name it!!! I especially love the wide legged bottoms with elastic around the waist. They’re forgiving and 9 times out of 10 they’re inexpensive because they don’t have that tailored waistline that takes more time and effort for manufacturers. A word of advise: if you’re looking to wear them professionally, go for a more structured wide leg pant with sophisticated stripes or soft, solid hues.

Cardigans & Kimonos

Kimonos oddly remind me of the transformation of the characters in Sailor Moon. Growing up I watched this anime faithfully and still do whenever I get the chance. The characters always sem to undergo some magical transformation from typical teenagers to magical beings that is almost angelic. The coat of dust, stars  and magic that surrounds then is so whimsical. Some days that’s how I want to feel. I feel like whoever created the kimono knew this feeling. It can make you go from that girl with the cute outfit to that girl with the

 Woven Handbags

I know we were talking about clothes, but these bags are a must have this and next seasonFor some reason, these bags automatically make me feel lie I am at the beach walking the boardwalk. Whatever you do, make sure you buy a woven handbag with lining in the inside. Trust me, you do not want your valuables slipping through the gaps. When  wearing this bag, I also feel like the best accessories to pair with it is a wide brim, woven hat and a pair of wedge heels. Don’t get caught up in trying to make them match. The color of the woven bag does not have to be the same color of the woven hat as long as you’re pulling one of those color out somewhere in your outfit.

It may even help to look at some of  these convenient stores:

As Always,

Ayshia
